View & Pay Your Taxes Online

The Lafayette Parish Sheriff's Office Web Tax Site offers the community the capability to view and/or pay their taxes online. You can pay your taxes with Visa, MasterCard, American Express, or Discover credit cards. MasterCard and Discover debit cards as well as PayPal, PayPal Credit, and Venmo can also be used to pay your taxes online. A 2.50% per transaction fee will be applied for each option. For the use of a Visa debit card, a $3.95 flat rate will be applied per transaction. An Electronic Check option is also offered as a form of payment for taxes at a flat rate of $1.00 per transaction. There is a $3.95 minimum credit/debit card convenience fee on all transactions. Click on the link below to utilize this feature.

The annual City/Parish online delinquent property tax sale is set for Wednesday, June 9th, 2021 beginning at 9am and continuing through Thursday, June 10th, 2021 with the sale ending at 12 noon June 10th, 2021. Tax sale registration and online viewing of delinquent properties will be available starting 10am Monday May 17th, 2021. The registration process will end 3pm Friday, June 4th, 2021. To register for the tax sale, the following link can be used:  TAX SALE ONLINE or you may contact Deputy Ashley Ventroy at 337-236-5882; or Ashley.ventroy@lafayettesheriff.com  for registration assistance. All payments for tax sale certificates will be due by 4pm Friday, June 11th, 2021. For the Sheriff’s Office, payments must be in the form of Cash, ACH Withdrawal or Certified Funds.


For the City of Lafayette, tax sale payments will only be accepted in their office and only in the form of Cash, Money Order or Certified Check. The City of Lafayette Tax Office is located at 1875 W. Pinhook Rd Suite-B Lafayette, LA 70508. Their office number is 337-291-8272 and Robert Wiltz is their tax sale contact person. The office hours for the City of Lafayette’s Tax Office are 8:00am to 5:00pm Monday thru Friday.


The first tax sale advertisement will run in the local paper, The Daily Advertiser, Sunday, May 2nd, 2021 and the second tax sale advertisement will run in the local paper Sunday, May 16th, 2021. Payments for delinquent taxes will be accepted through the close of the business day Tuesday, June 8th, 2021. May 17th, 2021 through June 8th, 2021, Cash, Money Order or Certified Check will be the only forms of payment accepted for delinquent taxes.
