Our job as law enforcers greatly depends on how well we do our job in the eyes of the public. In an effort to learn more about how we can best serve the community, it is imperative that we get your feedback.

This section allows citizens to submit feedback regarding their experience with the Lafayette Parish Sheriff’s Office, including commendations or complaints related to the academies and/or staff.

A system for handling and investigating all complaints and allegations is essential to establishing and maintaining the confidence of the citizens of Lafayette Parish. The system is designed to protect the integrity of the agency and protect the public from inappropriate behavior by Lafayette Parish Sheriff’s employees.

The purpose of this public portal is to receive comments regarding an agency’s compliance with CALEA standards, engagement in the service community, delivery of public safety services, and overall candidacy for accredited status. These comments can be in the form of commendations or concerns. The overall intent of the accreditation process is to provide the participating agency with information to support continuous improvement, as well as foster the pursuit of professional excellence.
